"Uphill" is an original mixed-media work on paper by Philip Gladstone
- Made with charcoal, white chalk and India ink, with touches of colored pencils and white gouache, on Canson brand drawing paper prepared with gesso and toned with India ink; some highlights were achieved by scraping and sanding to reveal the gesso layer
- Image measures 6 by 12 inches (as shown, full sheet slightly larger)
- Created in November 2024
- Signed by the artist and dated "2024" lower left; inscribed with the title on the reverse
