  • About: This original composition is a 'mashup' of source imagery discovered by the artist and merged here in a dreamlike fashion, including a favorite ca.1910 French académie of a male nude in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and an atmospheric ca.1905 photograph of a hydroelectric station in the collection of the Library of Congress
  • Provenance: Sold by the artist to a private California collection, 2017; reacquired from the late collector's estate by Philip Gladstone Studio, 2023
  • Made with artist's acrylic paints on a cradled panel
  • Framed in a hand-crafted black and 12k gold frame with carving; features a 22k title plaque featuring the artist's name and the title and date of the work
  • Panel measures 16 by 12 inches; measures 21-1/4 by 17-1/4 inches framed
  • Created in 2017
  • Signed by the artist with his monogram cipher (PG) and dated "2017", lower right; signed again with his full name and inscribed with the title on the reverse
