"The Wheel"

Based upon and inspired by a 1906 graphite drawing by artist William MacArthur in the collection of the Glasgow School of Art

• The Wheel is an original mixed-media painting with collage by Philip Gladstone
• Made with watercolor, acrylic, pen-and-ink, Holbein colored pencils and Windsor & Newton pigmented markers on painted and cut artist's drawing papers collaged onto Arches 140 lb. watercolor paper, varnished with a UV-filtering satin varnish
• Image measures 12 by 12 inches (as shown, board slightly larger)
• Created in January 2021
• Signed by the artist with his monogram (PG) and dated "2021", lower left; signed again with his full name and inscribed with the title on the reverse
