"The Way of the Runaway" is an original acrylic painting on panel with a unique handmade artist's frame by Philip Gladstone

Painting made with artist's acrylic paints, applied with knife, fingers, brush and pen to create a rich variety of textures, on a 3/4 inch deep cradled wooden panel; finished with a warm, tinted polymer gloss varnish
Float-framed in a treatment designed and handmade by the artist to be integral to The Way of the Runaway — a unique painted and patinated wooden three-dimensional construction designed to suggest railroad tracks and reminiscent of "Tramp Art"
Measures 22 by 18 by 2(D) inches overall with frame (central panel measures 16 by 12 inches)
Created in June 2023
Signed by the artist with his monogram cipher (PG) and dated "2023", lower left; signed again with his full name and inscribed with the title on the reverse
